mobile home foreclosure, seeking amount due
My husband and I owned a mobile home in Oklahoma. We received word that my husband was being transferred in his job. We immediately put our home up for sale. However, the home did not sell in time. We had to move out to Texas for the new job in July of ’04. Not knowing what to do, I had to just mail the house keys to the finance company, explaining our situation. They did resell the mobile home for approximately half of what was still owed on it. We were sent a letter on 8/’05 stating the balance due of $19,802.86. Not having the funds to repay any of this, we did nothing. We received another letter, dated 10/’06 reminding us of the deficiency. Under Texas laws, are they able to seize properties or take money from paychecks in an attempt to collect this debt?

auto insurance settlement
I was in a fender bender as a passenger. The motorist who hit us was uninsured. My fiance’s (the driver of our car) car insurance wants to pay me $400 with an uninsured motorist release and indemnity agreement. This states that that I won’t ask them for any more money in the future. Should I accept this money? Will accepting this money affect my own insurance? Will it raise my fiance’s rates?

sex with supervisor resulting in mental breakdown!
I worked for same company for 6 1/2 year. This company hired a new administrator 2 years ago. He immediately caught on to the fact that my husband of 21 years & I had problems in our marraige. He called and text messaged me frequently before, during & after work hours. He knew that my husband was the only man I had ever had sex with. I recieved multiple pay raises from this man–especially every time I would turn in my 2 weeks notice to quit my job. I do not believe the company we worked for did a thorough background check as I later found this man had been in drug rehab less than 5 years ago. Long story short…we had an affair and I had a mental breakdown which affected me in every aspect of my life including the fact that I could not concentrate at work. I would try to break the relationship off and he wouldn’t have it, continually texting me throughout the day. I left the job without notice. I still have extreme depression over the entire situation.

Eviction or Quit Notice
My daughter is disabled and lives in my home in TX with her boyfriend. He is mentally and emotionally abusive to her. I have told him several times he needs to stop being verbally abusive to her and the agreement with my daugher was that he would live there and help take care of her. He does not help her and has done nothing but mooch off her and take advantage of her. She is bi-polar, has fibromyalgia and panic disorder. He calls her names and intimidates her. He and I had a verbal agreement that after 3 months on his job he would start paying rent. He has been on his job now over 8 months and still says he can’t help with rent. My daughter has told him to leave and he refuses. I have had 2 complaints from the manager of the community regarding his dog. He has a very large dog (part pit bull) and the dog is very intimidating and neighbors have complained. I have told him the dog has to go and he has refused to get rid of the dog. Can I get him out with a Notice to Quit? I called the JP office and was told I needed to give a 30 day eviction notice but if I do that he will steal everything my daughter owns. He has stolen money from her purse previously. He also has a warrant for his arrest in Oklahoma. Can you help?

Quit Job and still haven’t got payed
Before I had actually put in notice to quit my job, I was supposed to get payed my salary on May 2nd. I get payed every two weeks and I am also supposed to be recieving my last paycheck today 05/16. I have not recieved either check at this time and my rent is quite late with $50 a day adding on to my regular rent payment. I also have other bills that are late and I am not able to even put gas in my car to get to my new job. Is there a way I can file a lawsuit for my wages lost + my bills, pain and suffering? And what steps do I need to take in order to do so. If I cannot sue then how can I at least recieve what is owed to me?
