I wrote out a bill of sales for my car to my now ex-girlfriend was my girlfriend at the time as I was selling it to her for 500 dollars after I wrote the bill of sales she went behind my back and got a temperary tag for the vehicle didnt get it registered yet.She never paid me the 500 dollars but she has the bill of sales.I called the cops and they said she is the sole owner now of the car because she still had the bill of sales even though the title and registration is still under my name?That doest sound right,he just told me to bring it to court and its not his problem.What is my rights?

i sold a vehicle to someone…finding out he lived close by and short on cash, i allowed him to give me 3 payments on vehicle..i gave him a bill of sale and he managed the first 2 payments…on the day of the 3rd payment he decided he didnt want the vehicle…i told him that my son owned the vehicle and he had spent the money thinking the truck was sold…what are my rights…

i have been cohabitating with a man for the past year and a half, and when we refinanced his property, i was listed as coborrower and added to the deed. we had obviously intended to have a future together and put an addition to the existing structure. although many improvements have been made, it seems at this point that we have irreconsilable differences and he has asked me to leave. i realize i can quit claim to the deed but what about the mortgage? and just what rights do i have to stay if the house is in both of our names? can i be evicted? if my name is the only name that carries any debt made from the improvements made to the house, on my credit cards, am i responsible for paying the debt off myself as he reaps the benefits of the debt in the house after i leave? please inform me of what rights i have concerning the matter and any advice as to what i might do to rectify the situation. thank you

Power of Attorney
My sister has durable power of attorney for my Mother, who was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s Disease last fall. I am not too happy with how she is controlling everything for my Mother. She did contact an elder affairs attorney and put all of her assets into a trust. I’m not sure how she is handling the rest of my Mother’s assets. How do I go about finding out how to petition for power of attorney for myself and on what basis could I do this? Please advise. Thank you very much.
