Eviction payment and terms
The park manager issued ademand for rent and a notice to quit for rent, we called him today to pay what was stated on the demand for rent and he said he wanted this months rent or he wouldn’t take the back rent. My husband called him back and told him ok and he could pick it up, now he asked how it was going to be paid, answer, a personal check, he said nope he wants a bank check, he didn’t say that in the first call and he never needed a bank check before and bank check isn’t stated in either the demand for rent or notice to quit. Do I have to do a bank check, which will cost money versus my no cost check?

Property tax adjustment isuue between a buyer and seller
We live in the state of New Hampshire, and on 07/13/01, we purchased one side of a duplex. The seller, at closing, paid the prorated or estimated city/town taxes from 04/01/01 to 07/13/01. When we received the actual tax bill, the taxes had increased from the estimated amount paid at the closing. The seller owes us $57.60 more than he paid us at closing.
He is refusing to pay, claiming that at the closing, we all signed a ”TAX ADJUSTMENT HOLD HARMLESS LETTER” , which frees him of all obligation. We believe that this form is simply to exonerate and hold harmless the bank, and not the seller.
Is the seller responsible for the increase in taxes for the months prior to the closing?
If so, we would like to know where we can find this ”law” or ”rule” to present to him or an arbitrator to support our claim.

I signed a commercial lease in August 07. In November 07 the building was sold. I was never issues a new lease between my LLC and the new owner. Was she required to give me a new lease betwen her (the new owner) and myself? I would like to resolve my lease with the new owner and am wondering if because my lease is not with her and a new one was never issued if I am actually a tenant at will. Was she reuired to issue me a new signed leased between me and her within the first thirty days of acquiring the building? Thanks for your help!

Lease Renewal
My landlord just called and said she want’s to raise my rent next year. I haven’t been looking for another apartment and there is not much time left. She has another person who would like my apartment, but I don’t want to say that I will or will not renew the lease until I’ve had a chance to look for alternatives.
How much time does she have to give me by law? What are the laws concerning lease renewal? Do I, as a current tenant, have first shot at next year’s lease over another prospective renter? Is there a time before which a landlord may not enter into “next year’s” lease agreement unless I specifically state I intend to Not renew?
