Landlord is selling the home we’re renting
We currently rent the downstairs of a duplex. Our landlord recently put our house up for sale and yesterday a potential buyer came to look. We are not under a lease. We go month to month. This potential buyer has stated if they buy they’d move into where we’re living and kick us out. Are they able to do that? We also live in Upper Michigan where we are kicking off the winter season. If we are required to move what type of time frame should we be given to find another place? Do we have to move if the weather is bad (ie 3 ft of snow) or if we can’t afford it at all?

Rent to Own Home Laws We are purchasing a mobile home on a rent to own basis.

Rent to Own Home Laws
We are purchasing a mobile home on a rent to own basis. Our understanding was that if for some reason we did not wish to fulfill the contract we could move, but lose all equity in the home. Is this correct, or are we bound to abide by the agreement until the home is fully paid for? We do not own a mortgage on the property and we do not have the deed or title to the property. We are renting month to month at this time. We have been at the property for 2 years.

Month to month leasing after end of lease
We have been living in our
apartment for almost two years now,
and our lease will be ending soon.
We need to extend our lease by one
month, however, our landlord told us
that there are only a ‘certain number
of slots available’ for month-to-
month tenants. We are willing to
pay the additional monthly cost for
extending by one month if necessary.
Can they refuse our request to
extend by one month after the end
of our lease (month-to-month)?
