rental agreement
can my rental agreement have this statement in it.

Provides that rental payments may be accelerated if the rental agreement is breached by the tenant, unless the provision also includes a statement that the tenant may not be liable for the total accelerated amount because of the landlord’s obligation to minimize damages, and that either party may have a court determine the actual amount owed, if any.

This is in the Truth in Renting Act under the
(1) A rental agreement shall not include a provision that does 1 or more of the following:

I purchased a vehicle in 1998 in the state of michigan.

I purchased a vehicle in 1998 in the state of michigan. On the way home with the vehicle which was approx 15 miles from my home in Indiana, I was pulled over by Edwardsburg, Mi. police. the car was impounded and I was taken to jail where I bonded out immediately for $100.00. I had a bill of sale for the car, In which I was told by the Michigan Secretary of State that I had 72 hours to get the car home on a bill of sale. the charge at the time was improper registration. obviously I had just purchased the car. I went to a court date and thought that everything was taken care of. I then moved to Arizona to run a company for a friend. When I returned to Indiana in 2005 I went to trade my arizona license in for an indiana one, and was told that there was something in Michigan on my record and had to take care of it first before I could be issued a new Indiana License. I then called the Cass County Michigan Clerk whom I spoke to personally and she said that I had a failure to appear charge and warrant out for me. she told me to take care of the issue I had to pay $105.00 which I paid immediately, she faxed me a copy of the reciept and told me to keep it in my possession for 6months, which I did. I got pulled over in Niles, Michigan last night and when they ran my license the warrant was still showing up. I then again was taken to jail where I bonded out immediately again for $300.00 this has been an 11 year ordeal because someone failed to take the warrant off of a darn computer. what can I do about this?

Limousine ”contract” question
I rented a limo in December 06 for use in October 07. I canceled it today, and it is stated on the bill of sale that my ”deposit is refundable only if [company name] can rebook the vehicle in a timely manner.” By them using the word ‘can’, does this mean that they have the ability to rebook the vehicle, or does this mean that the vehicle needs to be rebooked with someone else before I can receive my refund? Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.

Who controls an estate that doesn’t exist?

Who controls an estate that doesn’t exist?
Ugh, a nightmare this is. My mother passed away, and my vehicle was in her name for insurance reasons. Through all the drama and stress of her passing, my 3 sisters and I forgot to transfer the title of the vehicle to one of us.

It is my main vehicle, and I managed to get it towed, parking on the street I have parked on for a year and a half straight. The police require the registered owner to sign for it. I was told the death certificate and registration would be enough, but when i went to get the car, they said I needed proof that I control the estate.

There was never an estate. My mother left with basically nothing, the car in her name, and a dog, thats literally it.

What do I have to do to prove that I (or one of my sisters, or…SOMEBODY) controls the things in her name? Through some simple research i’ve found a small estate affidavit, which could take months. This is a time sensitive situation, since the car is sitting in impound, and I’m being charged for it every single day it’s there. The police are absolutely no help whatsoever, oddly enough.

My wife remembers my mother having a living will, but none of us can seem to find it.

I appreciate any help or advice, truly!
