joint ownership of real estate property
I own investment property with my ex-boyfriend. Mortgage has not been paid for a while, because we didn’t have tenants and I was laid off from work. The foreclosure procedure has been started and I was not aware of this fact, because he was keeping me away from this information. I don’t have access to any financial papers. He didn’t want me to be involved in any financial aspects of this matter. On my requests to provide mortgage statements, bank statements, lease agreements, he refuses to do so. Now we have tenants on the property, but I do not know how much he is collecting for rent and he refuses to provide lease agreements to me. I also don’t know how he spends this money. I have questions:
1) How can I get out of property? I do not wish to own it with him. He doesn’t want to sell it.
2) And if the property is for sale, but we own to bank more then we can sell it for, what is the solution?
3) How can I get all financial papers from him?

Thank you

self-extended Leases I signed a 12-month lease with a self-extension clause.

self-extended Leases
I signed a 12-month lease with a self-extension clause. The clause states that a 30-day notice should be provided 30-days prior to the expiration of the Lease Agreement. I subitted a 30-day notice of not wishing to extend the lease for another year and wish to remain as a tenant-at-will. The reponse I recieved from the landlord was after the the lease termination date, was a notice stating: that there is no month-to-month tenancy and if I don’t vacate in 14-days that the lease self-extend. Can the lanlord do this and hold me liable for another year if I don’t wish to vacate within 14-days even after I submitted notice that I do not desire to stay for a complete year? I thought that after a 12-month lease expires your are automactically considered tenant-at will.

Utilities shut off?

Utilities shut off?
Hi, I have rented my parents home to some dead beats. I have started the eviction process with a 14-day notice to quit. They were suppose to change the utilities to there name per lease agreement and have not. My parents have received a Pass due notice. After 60 days the Electric light company will disconnect. Should I pay it or not? Or should I serve them with a 48 hours notice that I am disconnecting the service under my parents name? They are 2 mths. without paying rent.
Thank you

How to break the lease when tenant got lay-off from his job ?

How to break the lease when tenant got lay-off from his job ?
Hi,
I have a lease term of 17 months, rent is 900$. I got laidoff from my job from a big company recently. I can’t afford to stay in this apartment any more. I am in Lowell, MA. I just completed 10 months of lease term. Still 7 months to go. Lease agreement says that if I have to leave the apartment I have to give 60 day notice and pay two months rent as lease breakage charges(900+900= 1800$)I heard that there are some laws which says that if an employee gets laid-off from job, he doesn’t have to pay lease breakage charges in Massachusetts state. Is there any law ?
Please reply me..

THanks
Bhas

Lease Execution
When is a lease agreement
considered a legally executed
document? Two leases were signed
by the landlord to two separate
parties. Party A received the lease
for review two weeks before Party B.
Party B signed and delivered the
lease with payment a week before
Party A. Does Party A have any legal
right to the property?
