Buying redeveloped tenants flat
I intend to buy a tenants redeveloped flat which was previously owned by MHADA and then taken over by building socy for redevelopment. The building is newly redeveloped now and some tenants have occupied. Since the owner does not have any document stating that the flat belongs to him, The old development agreement carries the owners name and his old flat no alsoon with share certs. The socy has agreed to issue a bonafide certificate saying the owner is the right member based on which the socy is asking me to proceed with purchase of the flat. Is this safe enough?. If not what precautionary documents should I get signed by the owner besides POA, Indemnity bond, sale deed. Since also the owner whose wife is no more, stays in Nashik and his Ration Card does not show his childrens name on it, since they have settled else where, is there a need to have NOC from all the children and their wives etc. The present flat is not registered since the socy says there is no need if its aredeveloped flat, is this correct. Can I buy this flat ? What precations should I take if you advise me to proceed

In April 2009 I decided not to renew my annual lease on my boat slip and advised the marina. I asked them if they would consider a month to month until I was ready to move and they agreed. In September I went back in because they were over billing me above the quoted amount and they made a billing adjustment. On December 30 I moved out and advised the marina in writing that day. They responded saying I owed the balance of the year because when I was in their office in September they advised of this and he had it in his computer notes. I never agreed to anything but a month to month and have never signed anything. Am I liable for the extra four months ?

I was renting a property for ten years in Sunrise, Florida. The last 2- 3yrs I didn\’t have a signed lease. During that same period of time they took advantage of that by raising my rent, but even after that I still never signed a new lease. Recently I moved out of the property due to financial constraints, but according to my research before moving if a tenant doesn;t have a signed least in the state of Florida the tenant is basically on \”month to month\” The manager is now threatening to send me to collections. Does she have any legal grounds without a signed lease since 2006? Can she report me to a collection agency in an attempt to ruin my credit? If not how can I make sure she doesn\’t ?

On Oct 13th. I looked at a room for rent month to month in a ladies house.
We agreed on $475. per mo. for myself and my fiance.
On Oct. 14th. my fiance sent her $200. via Paypal to go towards rent as she was letting me move in before making the full payment. (my fiance was coming on the weekend)
Oct. 15th I moved more things in.
Oct. 16th I told her this afternoon I would finish moving in after work and give her $200. more.
Shortly after (maybe an hour) my fiance said we could’nt move in. He said there were to many sexual preditors nearby. I then told the lady this in our online chat communication.
I went to her house and picked up all my things, she left them in her porch.
Are we entitled to our $200. back? Nothing was signed, I was naive to what could happen if I come home late.

oral sublettor wont leave or pay rent!
Long story short, I had to sublet the living room of my 1 bedroom apartment to a guy named Peter. Peter and I had an oral agreement. Peter (by his own choice) paid rent in cash, and did not sign anything= thus we only have an oral agreement.

Peter has been a real asshole: late rent payments, inconsiderate, etc.

anyway, he agreed to leave the apt by May 1st, as I will be leaving the apt then too. I have a month to month lease w/ the landlord. I will be going to Germany in May and need my deposit. Peter left me a message saying I’ll have to evict him b/c he doesnt want to leave by May. I need my deposit! The landlord doesnt know about Peter, but the landlord’s secretary knows about Peter’s presence. Im pretty sure the lease I have with landlord says no other occupants.

Anyway, this guy Peter is being a real asshole and threatened to stay at the apt and make my life hell. For one thing, I am the one of the lease, and my deposit is on the line. Even if I dont return Peter’s desposit, he will be living rent free on my credit! Any advice? Please help!!!
