Builder wants me to sign a hold harmless agreement for my light fixtures and appliances that he is not responsible for theft or damage. I don’t want to sign. What do you think

Consultant Idemnification?
I am a consultant looking to do work for a engineering firm. they submitted an agreement which includes an idemnification clause; they would like me to idemnify & hold harmless them & their client ”from any loss, claim, suit, damage, or liability from injury or death of any person, including employees of subcontractor, or damage or destruction of any property arising from or in connection with any act or ommission of subcontractor, its officers, agents or employees. Subcontractor, however, does not assume liability for the negligence of Firm or our Client….”.

specific performance
i entered into a real estate contract where the buyer gave me complete enviromental indemnification and accepted the proporty as is. the done engineering studies and signed the contract, now they want me to do a clean up and pay for all remediation work. what do you think

Security Deposit vs. Indemnity Deposity
When I moved into my townhouse, instead of calling the deposit a ”security deposit”, they called it an ”indemnity deposit”.

Does the change in wording excuse them from following the legal guidelines for security deposits when we move.

i.e. The return of the interest along with the deposit.
