Divorce Decree -GA
(no children, no alimony)I pay a sum every month for a second mortgage that we took out before getting divorced. My question is, in the decree it states that husband shall pay said amount, if the husband fails to pay the said amount and causes the wife to default on her mortgage she will keep everything. Now, after we divorced I did a quit claim deed and it (the house) belongs to her anyway. I have also filed bankruptcy since then. Legally, do I still have to pay her?

Quit Claim Deed My ex husband signed a quit claim on the house over to me…

Quit Claim Deed
My ex husband signed a quit claim on the house over to me during our divorce last year. There is nothing in the divorce papers about any time frame for me refinancing or selling the house.
He is now demanding (w/a lawyer) that I refi or sell to remove his name from the mortgage. Problem is, I can’t refi at the moment because I don’t have enough income to do it on my on, and he has consistantly been late on payments to creditors that I didn’t realize my name was on. My credit score has dropped 100 points since we divorced. I have made no late payments to any creditor.
Help! Can he legally make me sell my house to get his name off, even though he signed the quit claim deed?

Daughters Right In a living will, can we include our life insurance?

Daughters Right
In a living will, can we include our life
insurance? Does the will override
what is in the life insurance as well?
Does she stay with our cars, if she
can continue paying the monthly
payments? Can you give us samples
of what we can leave to our
daughter? We have a life insurance
policy each, we have a few dollars in
the bank, we have 2 cars that we
have purchased and paying monthly
for them. We have 401ks each. We
have a house. We do not have
much, but would like to make sure
our daughter is taken care of if
something happens to us both. She
is 19 right now. We both work full
time. Can you give me some advise?
Thank you. Mr. & Mrs. Serrano

Home owner and quit claim deed Husband and wife jointly own home in Georgia.

Home owner and quit claim deed
Husband and wife jointly own home in Georgia.
Both filed bankruptcy that has now been discharged.
Husband wants to sell the house and has asked wife to sign a quick claim deed. He will sell the property to avoid foreclosure.
If the wife signs the quit claim deed, does this remove her as a responsible debtor? What does the wife have to gain by signing the document?
