Car Emissions Problem
Hello,

I sold my old car in Atlanta, GA to a person. In a couple of weeks he contacted me and told that the car hadn’t passed emission test. He wants to sue me in a court for selling a car without emission test. I did not do emission test for this car because I did not drive it. It stayed on my parking lot for more than 6 months.
My question is: am I legally obligated to make sure that the car has passed emission test before I sell it?
One more question: He paid in cash. I did not provide him with a bill of sale. Am I legally obligated to provide him with a bill of sale?

UNDISCLOSED Frame & Unibody damage
Purchased a used car in GA this week & live in AL. Dealer did not disclose the ”frame damamge” & ”unibody damamge” & even told me to go to the Lexus dealership to get worn rotors replaced since still under factory warranty. ”as is” marked on bill of sale. I found out this info using Autochack. Carfax did not disclose details. Can I make them buy car back? How long do I have?

Dispute with Car Dealership
My husband and I bought a used truck almost 1 month ago and gave a $2000 CASH down payment, we were told that our bill of sale was our reciept. Now 1 month later they are telling us that they never recieved the down payment and if we don’t give them another $2000 they will hold our title and tags and wait for the bank to repo it. What are my rights?

I purchased a car from a GA dealership. I was in the market for a new car and the bill of sale from the dealership says it was a new car. I found some papers in the car with someone else’s name. This prompted me to run a CarFax on the car cause it seemed like it may have been previously owned, for those papers to be in the car. The CarFax does say there were 2 owners, I’m the 2nd owner. I have requested information from the State of Georgia for any previous title, tax or liens on my car. If I find out the car was in fact previously owned, was this not fraud on the dealer’s behalf for selling it to me as “new”? What options do I have? Thanks.
