What are my rights as a tenant?
What are my rights as a tenant?
We are behind on our rent. We have made 4 partial payments. They are now demanding the rest in full by a handwritten note giving us 3 days.It does not specify that it is a notice to quit. After the 1st payment, excessive rain caused app.8in of standing water in our yard.We took some of our rent$ and paid to pump it out. They never contacted us for the week we were in water but afterwards said they would work with us.They were supposed to bring fill dirt in and today when the 3 days start we get dirt. They put it directly behind my vehicle and I was blocked in.Was that retaliatory? What are my rights?

”Next of kin” vs executor/power of attorney
My fiance died 5/31. He specified in his advance directives (”Five Wishes”), and last will and testament, that he wants to be cremated and his ashes spread by me. I am designated power of attorney as well. I was just informed today that his brother is ”transporting the body to New York” where he resides and where the deceased used to reside. I cannot obtain any further information from the funeral home or the brother, who has refrained from answering any of my calls. He was fully aware of the deceased’s wishes. Does he have the legal right to do this, and if not, what should I do? Time is of the essence.
Neglect Does FL.
Neglect
Does FL.law permit an adult child to sue a hospital/doctor for neglect I feel resulted in the death of my mother?? Mom was 69 y.o., had COPD in end-stage emphsyema, had 3 compression fractures. She had been hosptialized many times for emphysema. Each time she was treated and discharged to home. This particular time the doctor talked of putting in a central line to provide her nutrition/hydration but never did, no IV fluids either. Everyday her condition deteriorated. She was unable to eat. Records showed 0 under intake. I spoke with the doctor and asked why he hadn’t put in a central line for nutritional/hydration. He said he’d put in a one if I wanted him to. Of course I did. However, after evaluation, the surgeon said that it was too little too late; the procedure may worsen her condition. One and a half days later, she died. I had seen her in and out of the hosptial many times under these same conditions, and each time they were very focused on her nutritional status. This time it appeared they just wrote her off. I know it was not my mother’s wish to die, as she discussed this with the doctor when she was admitted. And she had no Advanced Directives either.
