Can a lien be enforced if property is quitclaimed after lien is filed?
My house has a lien for my husband’s child support arrearage. I filed for separation and the house was quit claimed to me after the lien was filed. If I sell or refinance will his arrearage be taken from the proceeds even if the house is in my name alone?

Quit Claim Deed/Mortgage
My husband and I bought a house last year with MY money. After the purchase we decided to separate and I asked him to sign a Quit Claim Deed for the house since it was my money that we used. He signed it. We are now getting a divorce and here is the question. How do I get his name off the mortgage without having to refinance? Please advice. Thanks.

Divorce Decree -GA
(no children, no alimony)I pay a sum every month for a second mortgage that we took out before getting divorced. My question is, in the decree it states that husband shall pay said amount, if the husband fails to pay the said amount and causes the wife to default on her mortgage she will keep everything. Now, after we divorced I did a quit claim deed and it (the house) belongs to her anyway. I have also filed bankruptcy since then. Legally, do I still have to pay her?

quit claim deeds
Aproximately 8 years ago my mother in law died leaving a house worth approximately 60,000 equally to her 4 children. One brother lived in the house and the other 3 quit claimed the house to him with understanding that if he moved out of the house and sold it that they would receive 15,000 each. He recently moved to Florida, sold the house, and sent none of the proceeds to his brothers and sister. Can the brothers and sister recover if he does not offer to share? He received consideraly more than 60,000.
