Mobile home purchase contract
My mother in law signed a contract to purchase a double wide on thursday May 17th and gave the business a $10,000.00 deposit. Over the week-end it was discovered the business has less than ethical business practices and she decided to cancel the contract and continue to look for a home. On Monday May 21st she contacted the salesman to cancel the contract and was informed he had already gotten a cashiers check to replace her personal check and the deal was done. If she wanted to cancel the contract she could but she was not getting her money back. My question is: does she have any legal recourse against this business? Is there a time period in which a buyer has the right to review a contract before it is legally binding? Please help. I’m afraid she is going to lose $10,000.00 or have to live in a house that is inferior in workmanship. Total price of house is $60,000.00. Thank you for your help.

Ability to request void of contract within three days of signing
Need to know information about whether consumer can request and be granted right to have a contract voided within three days of signing. Specifically a contract was signed for purchase of mobile home. Sales person indicated that purchase included homesite, set up delivery, hookups etc. However after signing contract and recieving copy, found written contract did not match oral promises. Written contract contained many additional significant costs and obligations of consumer. Sales person was contacted next day and refused to void contract stating he does not operate under real estate law but rather operates as motor vehicle dealer and contract is binding. Please advise as my understanding is that under florida law all contracts can be cancelled within three days by either party. Sent certified mail requesting voiding of contract as well.

Nursing home bill
I signed a contract (as power of attorney) when I admitted my grandfather to a nursing home in 2007. They misfiled for Medicaid and it took several months to get it started, now they want me to pay the bill personally and have a bill collector trying to collect. They mislead me into thinking I had to sign to get him admitted. I don’t think I should be liable to pay. Please advise.
Thank you,

I purchased a Mobile Home from my Grandmother in June 2007, for the amount of $2,000. The actual value would’ve been slightly higher but it needed quite a bit of work. I have a signed Bill of Sale stating the purchase price of $2,000 and also a signed Paid in Full Receipt. In this last month my Grandmother has gone on Title 19 and she needed to claim her assets from the past 5 years. My Grandmother and My Uncle(power of attorney for the last 4 weeks) stated to them- she sold her trailer for $9,000 and that she was only paid 900.00. All of which is not true. Now they want me to pay the difference of $8,100. I am wondering is this legal ??? Thank you in advance for any help in this matter.
