Notice to move Landlord lies
On 9.13.01 I gave my landlord a 30 day notice to move in writing stating I will move on October 13th or earlier. I had not given him notification to move prior to that. On the same day he gave me a notice to quit dated 9.1.01 & said that was the date of verbal notification by me. It also says I must move out by 9.31.01. I know I did not give him a notice on 9.1.01 and it is also a saturday and the office is closed on saturday. Also, there is no 9.31.01 so I figure he must’ve wrote it in a hurry or out of anger. Is it legal for him to mess around with the dates and enforce a verbal notification that was never given?

Eviction Case That Desperately Needs Attention!
We were served a 3-Day Notice To Quit on 05-14-08 from the Authorized Agent of our landlord’s attorney.
He claims the City is insisting on our eviction due to an overlooked building permit from 1951 stating our home was to be converted into a garage.
Because the building permit was overlooked 56 years ago, our home was never converted. The tenant has been renting here for over twenty years from our landlord, who owns the property.
The City inspectors informed us that we have ”absolutely no rights as tenants” and stated the only solution is our immediate eviction. We were further advised that we are subject to fines, imprisonment, and/or both for noncompliance with the unlawful detainer lawsuit filed against us.
I am desperately seeking any assistance available to us!

What rights do I have as a tenant in a home that has been sold at auction on 3/16/10 and new owners, a real estate company, have put a 3 day notice to quit? I heard about a law passed 5/2009 that gives bona fide tenants 90 days to move before new owners can start eviction process.

There was a 3 day notice to quit posted on my door 9/2/09 with the date of 8/28/09 on it. Is this document considered legal, and am I considered served? There is no court seal on it, it is a mere photocopy. Besides the notice to quit ther is a notice to all occupants at said property, stating that previous rent contracts MAY be honored to forward rent to a specific address. Should we actually do this, what about fraud?

30 days notice to quit
What can I do to find out why the landlord gave me this notice, through the manager without an explanation.I asked my manager, but he said he could not answer my question. I have called his supervisor and left many messages but still do not have an answer. I don’t have the money to move and would not like to ruin my roomates good credit nor what is left of mine. If you could please guide me in telling me what it is I can do.
