Big Mess!
I bought a car about a year ago for my boyfriend. I think I drove it once. However, the car stayed in my name. My BF traded the car off last week. He signed my name to the title and bill of sale. He traded for another car, car parts, and $500. He did not tell me beforehand what he was doing. Well, the guy has not brought the car parts nor has he shown up with the first installment of the $500. What is my recourse. I don’t want to get my bf in trouble, but I didn’t sign the title, bill or sale, or even authorize the transaction. Can I get put on the title as a lien holder (the bill of sale states that he has to pay me the $500) or should I just call the DMV and tell them my name was forged on the title?

Bill of Sale Void or Not
I live in AL and purchased a vehicle in GA back in Dec 2007. The dealership sent my title registration as promised to the local DMV in AL. They also sent a check in the amount of $300+ for my state taxes. When I went to purchase my tag, one of the clerks told me that I needed to contact the dealership to get the $1,200+ taxes charged to me itemized so that they will know how to apply the tax on the vehicle. They were very confused about the check and the difference left on the bill of sale. Well, I contacted the dealership and they contacted the local DMV and soon both the dealership and the DMV contacted me back. The dealership just told me everything was fine but the clerk at the DMV told me that they charged me over $900 in taxes, according to my bill of Sale, which was illegal because I can not be charged tax for AL and GA. This whole transaction has been very upsetting along with the problems I have had out of the automobile. My question is: Is this transaction still legal and binding or can I just give them they’re car back and cancel everything since the Bill of Sale is not accurate?

Disclosure Laws
Merchant sold me a supposed ”new” car. I later
discovered that it was actually a ”demo” which had
been dented on the back panel and sent to a body shop
for repair. My insurance company told me that this
lowered the value of the car and suggested I consult an
attorney. Questions: Were they required to make this
disclosue as to the body work on the car? Shouldn’t
they have marked ”demo” instead of ”new” on the
appropriate box on the bill of sale? Is this fraud to be
charged a new car price for a previously damaged
demo? What can I expect them to do to remedy this?
Tenant owes money What are my rights as Landlord?
Tenant owes money What are my rights as Landlord?
I have a tenant that owes part of November rent along with December and January Rent with late fees occuring every day. The lease was from 1/4/04 to 12/31/04 and after that goes month by month. The rental agreement that the tenants signed says a late fee of $10 per day after the 5th of the month. This means $30 a day for all three months. I know I should not have let it go this long, but they have taken advantage of my good nature for the last time. They have claimed the late fees are illegal and that they do not have the money. I need to get paying tenants in my property and quickly. What can I do? I do not want to have them their another month.
Thanks in Advance
