Mr. Slater is correct, becasue your boyfriend (if he is an adult and competent, can simply revoke an earlier PoA and grant a new one; he should also inform everyone he can think of about the change, for example banks. But if your boyfriend is not an adult or competent, then we’re not dealing with a PoA and the process is complicated enough for you to use an attorney.
