There is no provision under Florida law that I am aware of whcih would force an individual to retrofit a single family home for a wheelchair bound tenant after the fact. I do believe that they would have to allow you to make the necessary adjustments yourself at your expense under the ADA, however. If you chose not to, the landlord might allow you out of the lease, but I am not sure that the landlord would be required to.
