Privacy Policy for Client Data Tracking and Information Leasing
We need to design a privacy policy for
consent release of non-personally
identifiable information tracking data
on our clients’ consumer patterns as
collected by our cards.
In addition to an indemnification clause,
disclaimer of warranty, Use of Private
Information, Propriety Rights provisions
as well as optional clauses including but
not limited to, Third Party Vendor’s
Privacy Rights, is there any clause or
disclaimer that we need to include?
Re: Privacy Policy for Client Data Tracking and Information Leasing
Your query implies that you intend to cobble together the “Privacy Policy” document yourself from unknown source documents, as you are seeking a laundry-list of consitituent clauses. This is, simply, a BAD IDEA. Try contacting your local bar association referral service or run a search on Martindale-Hubbell to find a lawyer in your area who is competent to prepare this document for you.
General maxim: far worse than your having no insurance is believing that you have it, acting in reliance on having it, and then finding that you don’t.
If you create something without qualified counsel in order to give some protection to your company, and believe that it is wonderful, and act in reliance on its effectiveness, you will likely learn the hard way when it is found to be worthless and your company is unprotected.
Best wishes,
LDWG
