Power of attorney for care of children
My wife and I are having issues at home I want to grant my siste POA for a period of time so that our children (my wife’s and mine) do not have to go through this instability. Is the correct the POA form named above the right one and how strong of a document is it? Meaning can a school , hospital, etc contest it?
Re: Power of attorney for care of children
Some agencies will require a formal guardianship for school enrollment, health insurance, etc. But you are still acecssible to your sister, so this should be fine. For example, you can go with her to enroll them in school if necessary. The POA is sufficient for any emergency care the children may need and other routine issues.
