month to month lease
i was on a year lease with a guy after our year was up we then choose to rent month by month.Dec 22 2008 i gave our landlord a 30 day notice that i would be moving.at that time the landlord said that my boyfriend would have to sign a paper releasing me from the contract. that was dated jan 09 09 now the ex boyfriend is telling me he is not moving out of the apartment until feb 09 09 and he wants me to pay some of feb rent. when does my oblagation end on owing rent?

    Depending on the language of the lease and the parties named in the lease, you may be allowed to vacate the premises with a 30 day notice period.
