house rental agreement
We rented a house for 2 years in WA during a professional training period. Our lease agreement says we should pay 75% of utilities and the landlord 25% because she has an extra unit attached to the house. We returned a month ago to Israel and now she’s angry about several issues in the house, took most of the security deposit and does not want to pay her part in the utilities. When we talk to her she’s aggressive and frankly a bit odd. How can we defend ourselves from Israel?
Re: house rental agreement
1.Call Elizabeth Powell
2.File report to the University leasing agency.to warn others.
3.Go to the US Embassy and ask for free legal aid agencies in same town and write to them.

Re: house rental agreement
Statute requires her to do a walk through at the beginning and at the end of the tenancy. Statute requires her to adhere to the contract she signed and not unilaterally deviate from the contract after it is over.
Is she demanding more money from you or simply refusing to return your deposit?
You can contact me off list; there is a way to do distance litigation/settlement with a defendant located here.
Hope this helps. Elizabeth Powell
