Guardianship of dughters 2 half-sisters
My youngest daughters 2 half-sisters are in fostercare. I have been trying to get them out for 6 months. Their dad has signed a Desugnation of Guardian and Durable Power of Attorney naming me as Guardian. Their mother has been deemed unfit and their father is in jail , on his way to prison. The caseworker and supervisor are trying to force the girls on relatives up in Massachusettes. The relatives have not yet agreed to care for the girls. It has been more than 6 months. I tried to get legal representation through legal aide but an attorney representing another party in the case is in partnership with a member of their board of directors. They say they cannot represent me due to a possible conflict of interest. How would I go about finding an attorney to represent me pro bono, since I cannot afford the astronomical cost of an attorney?, and what are the odds of getting custody of the girls if I were to marry their dad? Would my chances improve. Thank you so much for offering your opinions on this site to people that would otherwise be clueless.

Give a call to Amy Hickman, Esquire (561) 732-7030. If she cannot personally assist you due to cost constraints, she can probably direct you to someone who can help you. This is complicated and not something you can likely accomplish without legal direction/assistance. Much luck to you and the girls.
