Contract for deed default
I have a contract for deed and the purchaser has not made the last 2 payments on the home. What is the legal time that i have to give him to vacate the home for default? This is a signed contract between him and I and he has not made any payments for the last 2 months and I have tried to call him sent him certified letters and he will not return call and he has not made an effort to contact me or to let me know what is wrong? I have been to the home and he will not come to door or return my calls or acknowledge any of my letters. So what must I do to gain possession of the home. It is a mobile home. Thank you Linda
Re: Contract for deed default
The laws concerning contracts for deeds have changed in the last couple of years. The procedures are outlined in Vernon’s Statutes or the Texas Statutes. First you need to see if you did the contract right, then follow the notice and cure provisions before commencing eviction.
