Use of fiduciary for executor or trustee
I have the very unfortunate situation of an unreliable family and no one to name as executor or trustee on will or trust. Attorneys have given references to some fiduciaries associated with banks and then sometimes a certified fiduciary by themselves (private I guess). How do I select this stranger???? Also can this agent also sign the Advance Directive – very limited – just to aurthorize burial – just so I will get buried without bothering with my unreliable family?

Couple not married, one dies who plans funeral?
I am currently engaged and am composing a will and an advanced directive. If I should die, will my partner be allowed to plan my funeral if I specify it in my will or will my parents?

my mother has dimentia my dad needs to handle her advance directives and financial matters he needs the right forms to get a conservatorship.
My parents are in their 80’s.
My parents are in their 80’s. My father has alzheimers. I am concerned about his welfare in the event that my mother passes away first. My husband and I live in California but my parents reside in Connecticut. I think we need to create some type of health directive and will/trust, etc. whereby my sister and I share in the responsibiity for the survivors care and have equal responsiblitly in the division of their estate upon the final survivors death. My parents have an existing health directive but I do not know if this will be congruant with a new will/trust. Please advise. We want to proceed with some action as soon as possible.
Thanks,
Chistine Johnson

What legal documents do teens need
For a senior decisions class, what legal documents should high school seniors (18+) consider? I’m thinking will, health care directive, etc. – we’re preparing them for the real world (or trying to) and want to cover the basics. Have already provided material from King County Bar Asso., but there’s no mention of personal documents. Thanks
