I want my bmw back
Hello, i have a problem dealing with my father,( actually many).i bought a new bmw about 3 years ago, i put 13,000 down and was paying the payment for about a year and a half.then one day , my father and i got into , he is also my boss so i got fired from his company, after a couple months icouldn’t pay my car payment because, he got me denied un-employment,so i almost lost my car but, my dad paid it off for me and told me to just pay him payments whenever i get on my feet & can afford to.well, a month later he got mad over something that wasn’t even related 2 the car… and he took my car from me and it has been sitting at his house for almost 1 1/2 now, collecting dust and getting weathered.we never signed or discussed anything about giving he ownership or a bill of sale.after my mom died a couple months ago, he’s been real controlling and bitter he already withheld her life insurance and all her belonging from me, now im scared he might sale my car.. can i go over there and just take it back??im thankful that he helped me,and hope someday i can do the same for my kids….but, thats my car, i got approved, i signed the papers, and i bought the car, not him….please help me …

Vehicle Sale Without Proof Of Ownership
We purchased a motorcycle from a person for $1000 and received a Bill of Sale but did not recieve the title or proof of ownership required to register the vehicle at the time of sale(it was a personal acquantance). The seller stated that they would provide it but has yet to do so and is now not returning our calls, it has been almost a year. Do we have any legal recourse or is there a way to register the motorcycle without this information in Massachusetts?

charged for brother’s towing bill
April of this year I bought a new car and gave my old car to my father. He then gave the car to my brother. For this transaction I signed the title and registration and gave it to my father. He then gave the car to my brother without submitting the title or registration to the DMV. So, the car remained in my name without my knowledge.

On July 28th the car was towed and impounded at a towing company. My brother was able to locate the towed car and was informed he had a $300+ bill that he could not pay – he then abondoned the car there. A $30 daily storage fee has accumulated since. On September 28th a bill was sent to me at my old address – this was the first and only attempt that the towing Co. made to contact me. I have recently moved and just recieved the bill today. The current charges stand at $2600.

I have talked to my brother and he has lost the title. I believe, though, that I can get him to sign a bill of sale.

Will a bill of sale transfer responsibility to my brother? I want to stop the $30/day fee, what is the best way to do this? Is the towing company entitled to the entire amount of the bill even though they have made little effort to contact anyone?

Thank you for your help,
Sonya

I posted a motorcycle on craigslist for 1500 OBO.

I posted a motorcycle on craigslist for 1500 OBO. A gentleman called me and told me he wanted to buy it, he came by the house and checked out the bike. Said he wanted but all he had was $500.00 on him now. He’d have the rest the following week between tuesday and thursday. I said that’s fine, he asked if he could take the bike in his custody and I told him “no”. I told him what I would do is write up a bill of sale showing the deposit and the stipulations for the bike to be picked up, which consisted of him producing the remaining money. He agreed to it and signed the paper, in good faith I gave him the title (unsigned) to show him I was gonna hold it for him. well on monday of this week he called me to tell me he wasn’t going to be able to buy the bike, that he didn’t have the finances to. I had 5 other buyers call me (that I turned down) and removed the posting from craigslist. well after that I had to repost the listing and take only $1100 for a hit of the $400.00 less to get the bike sold in time for me to purchase my car. on top of that I had to go to the DMV and purchase another title (fast title) which cost me another $87.00 to give to the new buyer that had paid me for the entire amount. Am I entitled to give him back his deposit since he backed out and caused me all this trouble?
