Vehicle Title Transfer Problems
On 3/12/05 I purchased a used motorcycle from a private party for $6k. Seller owed bank $7k which is far more than what the bike is worth. Bank would not release title until loan was paid in full. DMV told me that for this case all I can do is fill out a ”Bill of Sale” and ”Statement of facts” (SoF) form so I did. In the SoF from the seller promised to ”send me the title asap”. He verbally promised me that he would pay off the remainder of the loan within a week after the sale. But I did not get that in writing. On 5/24/05 I called seller and he told me that ”the bank had released the title on 5/23/05. If you don’t get anything in the mail by next week (5/30/05) give me a call.” I did not receive anything. I have left numerous messages on his voice mail without any responses from seller. I’m out of options. I want my title! I want to know what are my legal options? Can the courts help? What evidence do I need to gather so I may win the case against this guy.

A couple of months ago I bought a used vehicle from the person who owned the vehicle. At the time of purchase he gave me a receipt for the purcase of the vehicle(a bill of sale) along with that he also gave me a written(by him), and signed by him,guarantee that if within 60 days of the purchase of the vehicle, anything went wrong with it and I didn’t want to fix it, he would buy it back for the amount that I’d paid him for it. About a week before the 60 days was up I began to have some real problems with the transmission. The front seal blew. Just to fix that would cost close to $600, more if there is damage inside the transmission. So I contacted the man I bought it from; told him I wanted to sell it back to him as per his written guarantee. He has strung me along for almost 2 weeks now and today he pretty much told me to take him to court because he’s on disability and no judge will order a claim against his disability. I can’t afford to fix it and was counting on him to live up to the written agreement, as it was his idea in the first place. Am I just screwed? Or do I have legal recourse? I would very much appreciate any advice or suggestions that you may be able to give me. Thank you very much.

Will not give me my car
I bought a car from transmasters transmissions. I have a reciept and i have the car in my name. I have the pink slip on its way. They wrote me a bill of sale. The manager told me that it needed a transmission. that is why it was a lean sale car and been on the lot for almost a year. now after 3 months of waiting for the car. he tells me that yes it it ready but he wants 500.00 more for the vehicle. That i already own. I went to court and filed small claims. The same day he was served the department of child services was called and the next day pulled my kids out of class. I confronted him and he admitted to calling in a false report. and said its just the beginning. besides a restraining order. is there anything else i can do for him to stop harrassing me or can i file for more money for harrassment????
